The police force in Kano has arrested five males suspected to be involved in the Sunday bomb blast at St. Charles Catholic Church in which at least five people were killed and eight were injured. Check out for full story

Police spokesman Frank Mba said that the bomb was “probably an IED (improvised explosive device) thrown from across the street” at the Saint Charles Catholic Church in Kano’s Sabon Gari district, which has suffered previous attacks by the Islamist group Boko Haram,  There are indications that five persons are dead and eight injured but the police are yet to confirm that. A female suicide bomber blew herself up outside a university in Kano, northern Nigeria’s largest city, after they prevented her from carrying out an attack, injuring five officers, police said. “A female suicide bomber was isolated as she was walking towards the gate of the university,” said police spokesman Frank Mba, adding that she had hidden the bomb under her “long black hijab”. “Police on duty isolated her” because she was behaving strangely, Mba said. They were about to ask a woman colleague to frisk the woman when she detonated the bomb, killing herself and injuring the five police officers, he said.

OMG!! Is this the red sea? Well lets see.... Villager in China were left baffled after they woke up and discovered their river turn red. Witnesses in Xinmeizhou village, Zhejiang province, said the river was running normally at 5am but within just a few minutes it began turning deep red.There were also indications that it had a strange smell as they filled clear plastic bottles to get a clearer view.

A former Chelsea youth player has died after reportedly falling from a balcony while on holiday in Turkey. Jordan Tabor, 23, is believed to have dropped from the third floor of his hotel in the resort of Lara Beach, near Antalya, early on Wednesday, the Mirror reported. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear. Tabor was a member of Chelsea’s youth academy for four years until 2009. The Foreign Office said it was providing consular assistance to Tabor’s family but would not comment on the circumstances of his death.
